    So, had a pretty good day in London today. Started off not so well, was spitting when I left the hotel...looked at buying an umbrella but decided against it,....bad move. It ****** down and I got totally drenched along with the contents of my pack.

    Walked through Hyde Park, past Buckingham Palace through St James Square to Westminster …

    ... each at The Cowshed beauty therapy rooms in Selfridges.Meanwhile Allie and Finn had a wander around the department store on their owns which in itself is a challenge.Cowshed spa is not exactly relaxing being based amongst the congestion of a huge department store.Treatment rooms are tiny, but it was good to have a massage on the sore feet and backs.Especially as our feet are all covered in band aids!

    Well, today we took a day tour to Windsor Castle, Bath and Stonehenge. Each stop a heritage listed site and each breathtaking in its own right.

    BUT - the bus tour was awful...we are so NOT bus tour people. Everyone was polite, everyone was punctual, but it was a bus trip with all too brief stops at wonderful sites.

    First up was a hastily gobbled breakfast before 7am - if it's included in your tariff you do what it takes to eat ...

    Since the news yesterday, Laurence and I decided to take the day off work and Claire already had the day off so we went out to Stratford to do a bit of shopping. I really needed a dress for the work christmas party and Laurence needed some winter jackets.
