    ... s 'Waltzing Matilda'. Our final stop before arriving at Mt Isa was at the town of McKinlay which is home to the "Walkabout Creek Hotel" or Mick Dundee's local pub in "Crocodile Dundee".     ... like a bunch of loonies. However it all pays off as we get in and start having a go, both of us standing up on the board even after the first few runs, and after a few hours we can steer, catch the waves differently and somewhat not fall off every time.     ... they want, for themselves, without thinking of anyone else for a change. My two boys will miss their grandparents, but are very excitedly looking forward to seeing their trip unfold and watch the little pin drops on the map here as Oma and Opa traverse this massive country of ours.

    Watch out Australia. This fabulous pair of grey nomads are on their way.

    ... treated myself to a rosŤ and Jack a.beer and they both had a Guinness!! We chilled in the outside bar for a while.then.walked to a curry house- the Punjabi palace!!
    We all shared a banquet which consisted of papadoms (with all the bits), onion bhaji, meat samosa and tandoori chicken drumstick, a main each, rice for 4 and 2 naan breads for $22 each..£11 bargain!!     ... a small child. Naturally we all got up close and took pictures.., The evening so good group bonding over beers and a few card games. Naturally the majority are British! Some hit the little nightclub thing that eve but I couldn't think of anything I'd rather not do at that point! Plus gotta save those pennies for Xmas and NYE!
