... WOW!! Suzy and I were
relieved we didn't have to hike back down those steps through the
canyon. We had worked so hard hiking through the canyon we decided to go
to the local Ben and Jerry's for a little reward. Ha ha! It was

... I trust they know decent breakfast cooking. The tv on the refrigerator across the room has FOX News on; who will take Boehner's place? ... fairly down home kind of place, obviously visited by the locals who are regulars. It had a long bar where one could sit and eat, and there was all sorts of local memorabilia hanging on the walls. The food was fairly average, the hostess was nice, and they had free samples of some of their baked goods. I had fried cod dinner with applesauce and homemade bread. I stopped in Geneva to look for a gas station. Geneva is a very nice college type town with a wonderfully revitalized downtown area, but there did not appear to be an abundance of gas stations. I was really quite surprised, given the fact I was on one of the major routes going through town. ... uneventful highway driving but it was strange to see the trees in Vermont beginning to turn color. With the early evenings arriving, I guess leaf peeping won't be far away. 420 miles later, we've arrived in West Bloomfield, NY not far from Rochester.
