I'm sitting in the Charlotte airport on my 8 hour layover, drinking a cold beer and reflecting on the last 10 years. This trip is far and beyond anything I've ever done before, and it is really exciting. Especially since I still don't have half of it planned yet!

Midday, our friend Gary (works at Hendrick's) called and said come over for a tour. Thanks to him we got the " up close and personal " tour of the race shops for the 24, 5, 88, 48. Interesting seeing behinds the scenes work that goes into producing championship cars. Everyone there was friendly. We spent about 90 min. there. Back to camp and Kitty and Bobby took off ...
