... tea. A bit more strolling in the afternoon sun and we met up with Mum and Dad for dinner in the Galleria - this time Risotto Milanesse - delicious.
The kids had a ball in the Piazza Duomo climbing all over the statue, in black marble it was boild hot to touch. We strolled home via a grocery store, and didn't realise it was so late (9:30) until we walked into the foyer of the hotel, this late summer sun is fantastic!

... through Galleria Vittorio Emanuele to get to Via Montenapoleone, Milan's upscale shopping street to droll over the designer apparel. We couldn't resist stopping for gelato which was exceptionally delicious! Just when I thought I was getting the hang of the city, we headed to the Navigli area for "apperitivo".... ... s probably the residual Grappa from last night - Ha! The 5 min cab ride to my Verona hotel was jaw dropping, churches, ancient walls, arches and streets so tiny you would think they were for pedestrians only. Nothing prepared me for the hotel and the arena just steps away from the front door. A roman arena in the city's largest square with restaurants, cafés, bars and high end stores. Leave it to the Italians to put L Vuitton, Channel, Dolce Gabana ...

... When ww arrived in Milan we caught the express train to Cadorna and then changed trains for one more stop, and walked about 400 metres to our hotel. Arrived around 10pm. Was a loooong day, but lovely to be in Milan.
