... however, the surrounding countryside is pretty - vineyards everywhere and distant snow covered mountains. We detoured to Desenzano on the banks of Lake Garda. Clearly a summer holiday town but a beautiful town situated on the shores of a huge lake. The water is crystal clear. ... Milan we decided to see the mighty Duomo under daylight so we headed off there again. Despite the guys trying to sell you stuff it was great strolling around the piazza once again and we pretty much spent the whole day around. We also went to the Castello Sforzesco wich reminded me a lot of Castel Sant'Angelo in Rome. ... You can quick order at a terminal and then just pick up your food. Man that was good! The restaurant was huge, and there was a security guard walking around the entire time just watching people. 7am came way too early after yesterday's long travel...so the snooze button got used until almost 8; and then the girls only got up after I opened the curtains. Italian breakfast around the corner from the hotel at a little bakery shop named Il Bragosso. Excellente! Seriously, the most awesome frozen caramel coffee smoothie thing you've ever had.
