... leads to the lake and a 30 metre long pebbled 'beach' with spectacular views of the town, lake and mountains. Back in town we go to the bakery to get some lunch. There were no meat pies at all but we got some panchetto, local soft cheese, fresh bread and a few pastries. This lunch looking out onto the lake and mountains was worth a million dollars. A beautiful 90 minute trip down the East side of the lake sees us back in Milan for a meal the girls have concocted. Before ...

After enjoying the view we took a look around the ...

amazing meals, drinking good micro brewery beers and getting to know Cristina's friends and lifestyle.

I even got to see 'The Last Supper' by Leonardo Da Vinci. This was an amazing surprise from Cristina as it's usually a few months waiting list to get in. They only ...

... We stopped for lunch where we had the special of the day: tortellini filled with meat and covered in bacon and butter. It was flavoursome but a little too salty for us. I have to say, I'm a tad disappointed with Italian food - the English version is definitely better. They just seem to use so much oil and salt on everything. We are certainly enjoying the breads with olive oil & balsamic vinegar that they bring out before every meal though. The waiter was enthusiastic about ...
