      ... and so we only completed 12 miles.

      Once again, we failed to finish, making it as far as the Alpine Visitor Centre, which is just past the highest point at about half way through the 47 miles. There is just too much to see! We had a fabulous day and added some new animals to our wildlife spots (marmots, chipmunks and Bethan was buzzed by a hummingbird) as well as elk that we also saw last time.

      ... he had other roommates I opt to knock despite having a key. Saves any confusion on who is walking in the door. It's answered by a bald middle aged man Rick. He asked why I knocked if I had a key and answered his own question in one sentence; for politeness, is the way he put it.       ... to his wife and the 3 family dogs. The dogs were very cute but as many of you may know I am not particularly warm and fuzzy inside and therefore find people who treat their dogs like children a bit odd. Alongside this I can't stand it when dogs lick your face and probably washed my hands about 30 times a day because I could feel the dog germs on me.       ... way, in my eagerness to get tot he bottom I left the bikes behind.

      We then headed into Winter Park, our home for the next 2 nights. While getting some lunch we met a lovely couple from Evergreen, just down the road.
