    ... rain we've seen in two weeks. The weather has been ranging from uncomfortably warm to searing hot for the trip (85-100 degrees) but today was cold. 35 degrees in Aspen and talk of snow.     ... snow and very cold the temperature did not get above 2 degrees all day. The sealed road up Pikes Peak was closed due to the weather although I'm sure the mustang would have had a good go at it. ( attention Stewart !!) Then a warm up lunch at Starbucks before a hell of a drive for me in blizzard and snow and rain conditions for 160km from Colorado Springs to Boulder ...

    ... and getting around certain things. We gathered inside over dinner and all began telling our stories of how it happened and each one was all it's own bit of funny especially because no one actually knew I was coming but my dad. I think it's even more hilarious because my mom is one of the easiest people I've ever surprised in my life and she always has the best reactions because she has not even the slightest idea that it's coming. Thanks mom.

    As the sun continued to rise we were surprised by how much warmer it was in the sky than on the ground. We were sad as the ride came to an end, and a little bit surprised as they announced we were preparing for landing as we hovered above a neighborhood of summer homes for the rich and the famous.
