... it was full steam ahead to get back to our RV in Vacaville after a great but exhausting day.

On the way home we were reminded of another image that we are familiar with in Australia. Palls of smoke could be seen as we headed east. A huge bush fire (they call them wild fires over here) was raging in the canyons not too far away from where we were camped.

Listening to the news we found out that around 4,000 acres of land had ...

Can confirm: grey squirrels also here, but much bigger. It would have been rude not to sample some wines in Napa, so we availed ourselves of some tasting cards and toured the wineries in the town centre. That's a dangerous game before dinner. What I know of Paris is only what I've read. I read once that Hemingway, bundled up in that iconic cowl neck sweater in a cold drafty apartment at 39 rue Descartes, working on the final chapter to A Farewell to Arms, scribbling in pencil, wrote 41 endings to ...

... was just wonderful. The clam chowder was excellent!

We built a fire when we got back, made some s'mores and talked about our day. It was unanimous, even though none of us are big city people, the unusual vibe and location of this beautiful city was well worth the trip in to see it. Tomorrow we will go to wine country and visit some winery's and then drive down the costal highway. It's time to get some sleep. We have had a very long, very full ...
