... there are giant Redwoods and Oak trees that were petrified. These trees were up to 3 million years old. The forest looked very similar to the one near Elisa's parents place in Sant Quirze. This was today's geology lesson for Elena and Ariana.
Tomorrow we will have a tasting of Steve's wine, which we are really looking forward to.

Danica had fresh BBQ shrimp with cilantro dressing that looked like 'to die for' and my dear wife had a scrumptious looking sausage sandwich. We picked up a bottle of V. Sattui's 'House Red' that contained a mix of delectable flavors---neither the food nor the wine were made for 'doggy-bag take home boxes' so we did our duty ...
... sand in the bed is a whole other story! there is sand everywhere! haha! so much fun! We thought that Vegas was epic.... it beginning to look like this whole trip will be epic!

... of a Tuscan estate complete with a fountain and a little museum inside full of interesting movie paraphernalia such as the Oscar for the Godfather movies. We roamed around the winery and the estate tasting some more wine and relaxing in the sun on the grounds.
