... we turned eastwards and got back in amongst the rocks.

We’d settled upon an anchorage between the islands of Gluppö and Fläskön (58°35’N, 11°12’E), which turned out to be quite a dramatic spot, with stark, bare rocks. However, unexpectedly, it was quite crowded and also relatively deep, which meant that we would have to use quite a lot of chain to guarantee a good holding, so we decided to look elsewhere. ...

... weed or old netting still caught in her spreaders (horizontals from mast). It made me shudder to think of what could have happened to poor CW had we hit the rock with her hull, rather than her keel. I will have nightmares tonight!

... thunder, rolling around us but this time with no rain and no lightning that we spotted. We did see an impressive, tornado-like squall just south of us (see photo) and we were pleased that it moved westwards rather than northwards.

Later on, all became lovely again and we barbecued and enjoyed the warm evening air in this very peaceful spot. I tried to get the essence of these anchorages in a couple of photos, which I've ...

Later in the afternoon we stopped in at Chris' place to say "hello" to Chris and Cornelia before making our way onto a friend of Camilla's in Fredrikstad before returning to the Fort for the Moon Music Festival.
