... landing in Lyndonville, Vermont, our home for the next three days. The land got more rugged, the trees more bare, and the scenery progressively more stunning. New Hampshire and Vermont are clearly not interested in showing off for me, because we've had generally gray, rainy weather since we left the coast. But that only served to increase the drama quotient when driving through mist-filled valleys and gazing at shrouded peaks.

This morning started out at a 'brisk' 42 degrees. We've had such a mild fall in NYC this year, it was a little shocking. That was such a wonderful surprise and so thoughtful of Michelle. For those of you who are not familiar with mole, mole is a very traditional Mexican dish made of all kinds of spices and chocolate. It's a black, delicious sauce, and one of my favorites.
