Wednesday 6th March Edmonton (Alberta)
Our hosts, Michael and Charlotte, still work, so a very attractive tray of cold food is left outside the door at 7.30, but we are already up when it arrives, helped by the one hour time change. Breakfast consist of fruit and muesli, some sort of sweet home-made cookies, cheese, large grapes, orange …
... so absolutely awesome I'm already looking forward to coming back again to explore them.
The only thing is that I didn't see any aurora today. Apparently, it's been on at least since arou nd 10pm, but I'm in the hotel so I can't see anything... Probably due to light pollution of simply having a room facing the wrong direction. But since the pictures on AuroraMax seems a bit faint, I'll just assume that there are light pollution so I can't see them... It'll make me feel better.
Saturday was the wedding itself, which went off without a hitch (although there was some hair pulling and a very discrete fake ****). Although anxious about being in front of so many people, Andy held himself together very well and totally relaxed after the ceremony. Mom of course cried during the vows, but they were happy tears. We got to see some family we hadn't seen in a long time, and met some of our new family. Photos were taken near a small ...
... above a dance bar (actually look above and below the room you're in) - make your luggage very identifiable so that no one thinks your bag is theirs (this is what we thought happened to our big bag the second time; at customs) - distribute all NECESSARY items in all bags so that if one bag gets lost, at least you have some in other bags (ie. Baby clothes) - bring plenty of Tylenol/ibuprofen (we actually did this, so yippee) Done and done! WE DID IT! Bring on Mexico we ...

If you want home away from home in YK, look no further, this is the place. Ken & Faith are some of the warm people I have ever come across. Overall , an excellent place!
