    ... steaming garlic mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables accompanied our tasty entrees. Thank goodness my appetite was healthy, even though I felt a little numb inside from today's events.     Breakfast this morning (and every morning, actually!) is at a bagel shop just steps from the door of our hotel, because the hotel doesn't have a restaurant. The bagel shop opens at 6:30, and it’s fun to see my fellow Road Scholars trickling in - learning who likes to get up early and have a walk after breakfast, and who likes to sleep in as late as possible in the morning.     ... oh yea, no problem! The hike up is incredible; the well-marked trail enjoys a plethora of Cairns and guides us through an ever higher level of trees, granite, and shrubs. Finally, reaching the top we enjoy the eastward, coastal views of Frenchmen Bay and the westward island views of Cadillac Mountain. Beautiful!
