    ... 2 to meet Kepler, Michael and Taylor's 5 month old. If you recall, we first met Michael and Taylor in New Zealand and quickly became best friends. They live in Fort Collins (7 hours away) so any chance we get to meet up, we do.

    - Both babies love the Bumbo chair which we got used this past week. It helps the babies sit up and strengthen their backs and necks.

    The scenery leading up to Monument Valley was superb. Majestic. Extraordinary.
    Monument Valley even more so.

We had to take advantage of this type of day so Chip, mom and I hopped in the car and drove about 20 minutes up in the mountains for some snow and views.     ... picnic in the sunshine before making our way onto the old fashioned steam train to take us to Durango.

    The ride on the steam train was really nice, took 3.5hrs. Took lots more photos. I'm running out of ways to say things look stunning, beautiful, breathtaking etc!!! I did feel a bit queasy at how close we were to the edge at times!!

    ... hail BOUNCING off the roof of the cars parked out front. By the time we finished it was relatively dry outside for the walk back to the train.

    Kathy found a fine native jewelry boutique and she bought a lovely pair of pale turquoise ear rings. I bought a large coffee mug and Darlene bought the usual pins and refer-magnets.

    The ride back should take the same 3.5 hours ...
