... 2 to meet Kepler, Michael and Taylor's 5 month old. If you recall, we first met Michael and Taylor in New Zealand and quickly became best friends. They live in Fort Collins (7 hours away) so any chance we get to meet up, we do.

We had to take advantage of this type of day so Chip, mom and I hopped in the car and drove about 20 minutes up in the mountains for some snow and views. The ride on the steam train was really nice, took 3.5hrs. Took lots more photos. I'm running out of ways to say things look stunning, beautiful, breathtaking etc!!! I did feel a bit queasy at how close we were to the edge at times!!
We got to Durango just after 6, but time was ...
... hail BOUNCING off the roof of the cars parked out front. By the time we finished it was relatively dry outside for the walk back to the train.
Kathy found a fine native jewelry boutique and she bought a lovely pair of pale turquoise ear rings. I bought a large coffee mug and Darlene bought the usual pins and refer-magnets.
The ride back should take the same 3.5 hours ...
