We went on a beautiful day and explored the old city, the wall (muralla) and had a lot of fun going up to the top of the turrets! Then we went for lunch in the old city at a cute cafe called El Bistro. I had delicious carrot soup, and roast pork, and some Belgian beer! Ever since Brussels I've been addicted!

Then it was time to catch the train back to Barcelona!

... the entire museum is designed. At times the musuem felt almost like a funhouse, with exhibits inside and outside, on every wall and ceiling, and in many different rooms. I enjoyed his artwork very much and could definitely pick up on a few of his main themes; including, melting clocks, nude bodies, and overall abstract images. Overall, it was a wonderful action-packed day, and very nice to go explore some new places!

I am absolutely obsessed with this place.

You can see over the entire town. We were there right around sunset, and the way it painted parts of buildings gold was absolutely beautiful. It was such a reminder to me that this whole thing is His. It amazes me how many times in my life the words "wow" and "beautiful" seem so lacking and fail to describe the beauty of this world. He has created such a masterpiece.

... left Figueras and headed toward the most eastern point of Spain to see the lighthouse, where we had lunch before returning to the fishing village of Cadaques and to the home of Dali.

One of the reasons we wanted to stay in the south-west of France was that we love the north-east corner of Spain – the Costa Brava – and wanted to be able to visit it.
