... long, soon finding our bus to the aeropuerto, where, as before, the kindness of a policeman allowed us through to the departure lounges even though our flight was not till the following morning.
This airport was nowhere near as comfy as Barcelona airport had been though, for there was only hard seating with immovable dividers...... not really so easy, and then as early morning dawned we set off in darkness on our flight to Spain.

Quite laid back for the last day of the year, swimming, well why not, and sitting about on the beach. I bundled up the rubbish and paddled through the waves, through the archway to En Medio beach where the bins were, returning through with some friendly naked Canarian men, the waters swishing about to the tops of our legs.

... Tecina. That certainly saved us from the long walk up the cliff path. We retraced our steps, still talking as if poshies, till out in the rough and back on the old pathway. Who should come strolling the way we had come but Russian Mir, so fresh and sparkling, always handsome and with clean striped white and green shorts on. He told us this was the first time he was trying out this disused path as well, and Rosina excitedly told him of how it led to the plush hotel ...

... this time with a Bollywood dance sequence that she was teaching us all. We sang old girl guide songs and travel songs around the fire, songs like Ging Gang Gully, Chick a Chicken, Where The Blue Lake Lies, Show Me the Way to go Home, Maybe its because I'm a Londoner, and Don't Put Your Muck in our Dustbin. Our potatoes were drowning in butter, mmm, and we had a little wine as accompaniment. We had our good fun humour, as always.

Early as early can be Anna set off through the sea arch into town, maybe to romance with Antoniio we thought. Some time after Mark came to hang out with us, swimming in the sea and playing on the beach. This was the second day that I dared to bare all.
