... wondering why peoples feet were lighting up in front of me as they walked, then I looked at my own and realised mine were the same. Turns out there is bio-illuminescent algae on the beach and it glows when you disturb it. It looks so pretty, its like kicking glowing fairy dust around!

Anyway, have to go and eat while I have the opportunity to eat pizza!!!! No beans, lentils or chck peas for me today!

Friday we got up early to start the trip towards the Tortuguero. We got the 7.30am bus to Puerto Limón, as we got off the bus there was a taxi driver just standing by the door of the bus. They of course know when the buses arrive and know most people need to go to Moín. Well, he offered to take us for 2usd each, a total of 8usd since we were with Paula and Franco. Tortuguero - 11th sept

We left la Fortuna at 6am for a 5 /6 hour journey north east to Tortuguero which means "turtle place" in Spanish . We were told this was the egg laying season so we should be able to see the whole egg laying process. On the way there , the car suddenly stopped and our driver told us to get out. The reason being that there was a Sloth in the tree by the road. We were in shock at how close we got to it before it tried to get away. I got some great shots of it ...
