I ride the train into the city with Zoe and start off with a little free wifi and tea with a warm spinach muffin... at McDonald's! I head for the Tepid Baths but get directed to the Parnell Baths instead- they're perfect. Great walk along Quay Street to these outdoor, salt water baths. I decide to take the long way back to city center and it pays to get lost! I stumble upon Catch a Fish- voted the best fish and chips in Auckland- yum! The snapper tastes more ...

... bis auf meine beiden Rucksäcke ab. Für die nächsten 5 Wochen habe ich nur meine beiden Rucksäcke. Traf wieder auf Finn seinen Sohn. Mit ihm war ich damals in dem Beach House gewesen.

Mittlerweile war es 14:30 Uhr. Zeit für ein gemeinsames Lunch in der Patchwork-Family von John und seiner Freundin Babara. Babara hatte eine Tochter im Alter von 16-17. John einen Sohn, Finn (15) und eine Tochter, Emilie, im Alter von 9-10 Jahren.

... and wandering around. Auckland is a lovely city relaxed and not as busy and crazy as London also the buildings are smaller and less in your face. All in all so far our stay in Auckland so far has been great but we can't wait to get out there into the wild!! Marc is now really excited about the impending trip it is just dawned on him that we are here and this is happening (his marbles have been lost!)

... als sonst (aber immerhin haben wir pünktlich angefangen!) und das gesamte Hostel seinen Hangover gemeinsam in der Lounge mit Filmen auskuriert.

Samstag habe ich dann den Weihnachtsmann getroffen! Der hat mir Lebkuchen geschenkt und mir an Weihnachten Sonne am Strand versprochen! Perfekt. Der Weihnachtsmarkt selbst, ich weiß net so recht. Weiße Zelte, die Essen, Schmuck, Kleidung und Kunstwerke verkaufen, ...
