It was such a pleasure spending time with all of my new friends that I met during an awesome program. It was a great experience getting to know each one individually and be able to share a little of our lives with one another.
However, I do want to dedicate this final post to the eldest member of our crew, Kelly of Claryville, N.Y. Kelly has to be the coolest 90-year-old woman I have ever met.

To our surprise, the chair lifts didn't start operating until 9:00 a.m., but no matter -- we sat by the fire pit they have at the base of the mountain and patiently waited. People who don't ski or snowboard may see this program as tiring, dangerous, and/or too challenging. However, we all are here because we love every aspect of the sport and the thrill we get from the mountain.
I actually find it relaxing and therapeutic flying down the slopes with just a piece of wood between me and crushing defeat. There is no better way to spend a day in the winter.
