It was hard to say goodbye to the Watts and to the sunny weather. We had a wonderful week and there were lots of hugs and thank you's to Dave, Lorrie and Jasmine for their generosity and hospitality. Our flight left on time and we arrived in Atlanta in time to enjoy P.F. Chang's for lunch, an unexpected treat! Our flight to Detroit was also pretty much on time and we had a bit of a wait there. ... unique experience that cannot be seen anywhere else in the United States! The Locks consist of two canals and four locks that allow vessels of many types/sizes to safely traverse the 21-foot drop in elevation of the St. Mary’s River between Lake Superior and Lakes Michigan and Huron. From viewing decks, you can watch "Lakers" and "Salties" (ocean-going vessels) as they travel the seaway between ports and navigate the rise/drop of the water levels.

... the route through Fort Francis was much more scenic, and there were A LOT of trucks. Thunder Bay on a rainy night may not show it's best attributes, but after a long day we were ready for bed. ... incidence of brooding or over-thinking...fun tunes and lotso f car dancing must have done the trick...thanks to a pit stop in North Bay for an FM transmitter so my ipad would connect to the car radio :)
