We arrived at 12:30 and a ship was due to arrive at 1pm. Luckily the 3 story observation deck is covered and partially enclosed. The first type of locks were built back in the early 1800's when they let large canoe's thru but the first modern one was the Davis Lock built in 1914.

First Day!

First day of my big adventure! Pretty uneventful day. Driiving went well, got some minor cramping towards the end of the day but it was fine other than that. Not the best sightseeing weather (cloudy with some rain) but then there wasn't that much to see anyway so it was actually great for driving!
