... that it would be pretty confusing coming home from a heavy night drinking and trying to find the “southern most hotel 2”.

After hearing that the sunsets were meant to be amazing in that area we booked a cruise named the “Commotion in the Ocean” which was a 2 hour sunset cruise with a live band, open bar and “dinner”. Even though the food left a bit to be desired, the sunset was amazing and so well ...

I start today's update with a progress report. For those that have followed my journey from the beginning, you might remember how I wrote about the decision not to bring my camera gear on this trip. The idea was that I wanted to concentrate more on the moment, and enjoy the moment for myself instead of the photograph. Well, all that was confirmed today, but let me start from the beginning. It's only 100 miles from the southern tip of the Florida mainland to Key West but as much of it is 40-50mph limits the journey takes well over 2 hours. Fortunately it is a beautiful drive over more than 60 islands all connected by the "highway" US–1, including the famous 7-mile bridge. The water is a beautiful turquoise and the views are spectacular. We actually didn't do very much while we were here, instead enjoying 4 days of rest, with ...

We can't believe it, after days of saying that "we can't believe we're going to Key West" we are finally here! We started out our day cheating a little with the roads by taking highways through Miami instead of route 1. We figured for the sake of time we should try to get out of the city as quickly as possible so we could spend more time in Key West. We were only on 95 for a couple of exits so we didn't feel too ...
