          ... shooting them first! However perhaps best of all was Ernest Hemingway's house - filled with 60 cats, all terribly well looked after. Some of them have six toes! Of course we ate and drank our way through the town - margaritas, beers, Key Lime Pie, Ceviches - the lot.

          When you are on a cruise there are days at sea that was this day for us. We were up early and off the dock at 6:35 to fuel up, the fuel dock was only 10 minutes away at Conch harbor so easy first step.           ... with water on either side most of the way. In reality the Keys are an archipelago of coral structures with very few stretches of open water. With the exception of Seven Mile Bridge, and a lot of shorter bridges, most of the drive is on land. Pretty disappointing actually!
