... event of the evening (depending on your point of view) involved parents placing their kids (ranging from 4 to 8) very carefully on the back of a sheep, and the telling them to hold on around the scruff of the neck for as long as they can while the sheep walks across the ring. I didn't get any photos as I was queuing for a corn-dog but it was hilarious. I can't wait to start training my nieces and nephews...

Craw fish season is upon us - I think they are US cray fish but I'm not sure. In any case, people in the south go crazy for craw fish at this time of year. Typically cooked in a mixture of cajun spices to give real kick but nothing else and eaten with your hands and a cold beer.

This is us with Chris and Cathryn digging into 3 big bowls of crawfish at a restaurant in the Woodlands.
