... to Adelaide and Hobart and Melbourne then we will circle New Zealand and get back to Sydney. After a few days in Sydney we will take a train to Melbourne and hang out there until after the Australian tennis open. We will probably take the train to Ayer's Rock and north to Darwin. As Karen syas we are having too much fun!

... direction and missing a train it had got quite late) and chilled out. It was lovely to see them so happy and settled (and if Bill is reading this, no I am not late for work but I will be on Monday!!).
The next day, actually that’s today, god I have know idea what day of the week it is, we got up and flow to Sydney!! Arrived at 1 and checked into the hostel and went to get my first glimpse of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. It felt so surreal, like I wasn’t actually ...

It’s by guided tour, and for a moment it looked as if we were going to get our own personal tour. Unfortunately, as it turned out, we were joined by an Englishman, who proceeded to spoil and lengthen the whole proceedings with his constant questions and Smart Alec remarks, and comments about how everything in Britain is, was, or is done.

... went. The day entailed hairy car chases up mountains on dirt roads, stolen signposts and mad Sunday sessions hidden deep in the mountains of NZ. It was all quite bemusing really - an entire universe away from what the past few months had entailed for me and yet it was nice to slip back into the country ways and for a time rest from the fast lane my life had been whizzing full speed down for the previous few months. Waipuk was hardly a rest though with Sunday sessions and ...
Sydney, New South Wales, Australia ciaradoonerush... and blue skies.
Observations on Sydney in first hour of walking around:
1. it's FREEZING. never mind swim shorts I"m off to get some gloves!
2. the traffic lights make a space invader noise when it's time to cross
3. there are coffee shops everywhere, on every corner. Australians must like their cuppa Joe.
That's all for now - gonna try to upload embarrassing photo of myself by the Harbour Bridge, looking rough straight after the flight! Keep reading x
... and restaurants and all that jazz. There was actually a bit of a surf comp happening while I passed through so that was pretty cool, I might have tried surfing again as it was actually a really nice day (despite being winter) but I still wanted to get a good look at the opera house and see a few more sights. So I ferried back, walked around the Opera House which is a really really cool building and took a stroll through the botanical gardens.
That night I was packing up for my ...
Hey everybody! So, my trip has come full circle as I type to you from Sydney. I got here on Saturday, ANZAC day (Australia New Zealand Army Corps). That's like our version of Veterans or Memorial Day. They had a parade on the street our hotel is on! Kathleen and I walked south towards the Opera house and got to see all the armed forces parade down our street. It was very festive and all the pubs were packed ...
Sydney, New South Wales, Australia guitardara... downtown area. The park is absolutely fantastic and a tranquil place after a hectic day in the city. Through a happy coincidence Cal whom we have been diving with over the last few days has been able to arranged a helicopter flight with his mate Kessie. Hence we start the Sydney stop with a scenic flight over the city and its surrondings. Clearblue skies and the sunshine is reflecting in the bay and the glassbuildings of the downtown area - not ...
Sydney, New South Wales, Australia edtaepnHello again,
Today I went to the boys school, and had a whole new experience. Firstly we had to fit the presentation into 50 minutes, and on the second session, the first class had decided to tell all their class mates who had committed the murder, so there was a distinct lack of interest in the second group, and they figured they had the answer, and were not interested ...
