... caught the bus to Ivy and showed our IDs (which was all they needed to see last time I was there). Not this time, we were sent back and needed our actual passport. As fast as we could, we went back to the hostel and back to Ivy. As it was getting pretty late already, the last bus had passed so we had to take a taxi. Back at Ivy, they barely checked our passport... Anyway, we got in this time and enjoyed the rest of our evening in the club. Too bad it was too cold to jump ...

1 Day To Go!

... admission she hadn't explored much, Emma and her taking a pew on the beach as you leave the ferry. With a coastal walk and other beaches in the vicinity I wanted to explore and Vicky reluctantly came along. We initially passed a wedding party who's service was out in the park next to the marina - it was a nice spot but anyone and everyone could walk by. We headed up to the Southern Headland Heritage Walk which gave you great views of the cliffs initially ...

... at 6:30 on the deck with dawn painting the clouds pink. Gary carried on with his usual exercise routine and I went and had my hair attended to...you know getting it ready for more salt and wind.

We have dropped into a talk by a ship's pilot for the Great Barrier Reef...probably a better pilot than speaker...at least I hope so. And a more informative hour about Townsville, our port stop day after tomorrow. Gary and I think we will go to the Reef Acquarium ...
