Day 1
Haven’t left yet. All packed and ready to go. Looking forward to one epic night in Melbourne with Andrew and Fish, the beginning. Not nervous about the travelling ahead as catching up with Andrew has almost dwarfed the anticipation of the other destinations. Andrew + Fish + Pills + Crown casino = I don’t want to die the first night. That’s about it. I’ll write as much as I can remember about tonight’s escapades.
Another slow start to the day – not sure why I am so weary – must be all this fresh and crisp air or the beers I have been drinking. Today I had a couple of meetings with people working on either side of the public sector change consulting business. As would be expected given the state of the global economy things are somewhat quiet on the local employment front. There is stuff that needs doing and it is quite possible with my background that I could get ...

... was amazing! It was pretty hard core though, going through massive mud puddles and rivers and such.
The South Island was absolutely gorgeous, but I'm really looking forward to some actitivies in the North including Zorbing (look it up if you don't know, it's awesome!), blackwater rafting (cruising on a tube through the water in a glowworm ...
... I was too scared even to get out my camera and film this. We chose to carry on. After an eternal hour or so of Andys terrific driving and my biting my tongue from escaping profanitys and screams, we made it out to Wellington shaken and weary. It was all we could do to park up in some residential area and bed down for the night as the storm raged on throughout, waking us only with the crashing of rain on our tincan roof or the motion from the van swaying ...
wellington, New Zealand andyandkirstine... from the Video Archive; go to concerts at the Hole in the Wall, take long mood walks along the bay after I broke up with some Welly boi... But.. Rootless as it were, I spent most of my time either eavesdropping on the daylife or spun up in the nightlife... I think I'll break it up into places from here... *Flat White is a coffe consisting of two shots of espresso and one shot of steamed milk

Wellington, North Island, New Zealand anggaprasadaWe got into Wellington, NZ at around 3pm on the 1st. April picked us up from the airport - I can't believe it's been almost 10 years since I was here to visit her last! Of course, this time it's a totally different trip. Last time we spent 2 weeks driving around the South Island, attempting to kill ourselves a different way everyday (sea kayaking ...
Wellington, North Island, New Zealand rebshark... so much different landscape all on an island. I really enjoyed the drive and seeing so much different landscapes. Sometimes if you try really hard, so many similarities in the landscape. You can easily sit in a field and forget that you are not in Northern California still. Then again, you could drive 30 minutes and sit at a beach and forget your not in Souther California as well. Wellington was an interesting city to visit. I think the most shocking difference ...
Wellington, North Island, New Zealand redmonster... driving day we drove around Lake Taupo along the Desert Road past the volcanoes, and continued south to the very bottom of the North Island.
Late in the afternoon we reached ‘Wundy Willungton’ and stopped at Mount Victoria for a scenic view of NZ’s capital city. Despite the chilly wind and gloomy conditions it was all very nice, however I was in a huge rush to get to the hotel – today was the last Saturday in September ...
