It's been a few days since I last checked in - Jim and I arrived in Grand Rapids last Saturday eve right before a huge lightning, thunder & torrential rainstorm struck! That storm was probably the most dramatic storm I've ever witnessed - well...actually, maybe a close 2nd to that tornadic storm that Mom, sisters and I witnessed in Kansas in 2001. ... Where to start, where to start...

I suppose at the beginning. I picked up my life-long friend and adoptive brother John at the Detroit Airport on Wednesday and we high-tailed it to Rothbury in far-west-central Michigan. Got an alarm on my iPad that there was smoke in my condo, so spent the better part of the afternoon trying to get in touch with neighbors every time we stopped, Using on of the other rider's cell phones! Not fun!

Homeward-bound tomorrow!

The water park was great fun with everything you'd expect in a water park plus cold beer! Overall it was a great festival that I'd highly ...

6-20-14 – Friday

Austin & Cory slept soundly until our wake up call around 9 AM. A quick breakfast and we all began packing up to move up the road. The boys did a great job of folding up the tent and stashing belongings out of the way. We hit the road about 11AM. Most of the drive from Sandusky, OH to Ludington, MI, a 332 mile drive, was thru a light rain but we managed a ...
