... of gently rolling hills. The forests are even-storied (only about 80' tall max), healthy, dense & mixed specie. Very pretty. People grow vegetable gardens but minimal flowers in the ground - but lots and lots of spots of color in varying flower pots and hanging baskets - they're beautiful. After a scary first drive out of Chicago we arrived in the evening at electric forest music festival. Strangely the set up is that everyone camps next to there cars and we were fortunate enough to neighbour some hospitable texans whose set up was class. They really showed us what 'glamping' was about- they had tent fans, picnic tables, fish and shrimp dinners, cooked breakfasts and bafflingly they never had warm beer. Camping next to them ...
