We woke to a super thick fog. It was hard to see more than 20 feet in front of you. We couldn't hardly see if there were trucks around us still and we could see the gas station at all. We got things packed up and headed down the road. We had determined that we were going to try to get to Chicago in one day if we could. ...

... known as an outdoor sport destination. Knowing the storms were approaching we managed to get a walk along the trail, dinner and be back at our B&B before they hit. ... pictures of farms, corn, soybean and wind fields. I was not even tempted. WI was at least rolling farmland, MN is flat!

Lucky we did not fall asleep, which was only due to the concrete highway. Thump, thump, thump. Tomorrow we will drive through town to see the Corn Palace and head to the Bad Lands National Park. And then the FUN begins ...

Day 10 - Riding in the Woods and Bumping Mules

A travel blog entry by byramroadtrips on Jul 12, 2013

Another day that started slowly. Girls slept in a bit, and then we were treated to a nice breakfast from Miriam. Afterwards it was straight to the mules and back out to Kenny's farm to play with cats. Kristine showed us her horses and talked about them, girls helped out the feeding of them and cats. Then with Kendra and Kenny in one mule, and Jasmine and I in another, we drove through the woods, and through creeks for miles. Finally we had to return home ...
