        ... We soon arrived at the LA Amtrak, Alameda Street, Union Station. The lady from LA at dinner last night told us to catch the "blue bus" shuttle to the airport. We retrieved our luggage, and asked a station assistant about such a service. It is actually called the LAX Flyaway bus service. Costs $15USD ($21.93AUD) per person, and drops you off right at the departures terminal. The end of our U.S.A adventure is near. The final chapter and tour overview coming ...

        ... in the car but it didn't take very long as the beach is just down the hill from Kate's house. Rebekah went for a run along the bike path while I sat on the beach. The sun was nice and warm and there was a bit of a sea breeze so it wasn't too hot. Rebekah went for a swim and apparently the water was a similar temperature to that of Christchurch in summer.

Just some kilometers before we reached LA we stopped for sleeping at a side road between a waste disposal facility and a church.
