Unfortunately all the fish was either blackened or fried but we sampled some escargots, conch fritters, clam strips and crab stuffed mushrooms - more than enough. We drove a different route home but still through the forest.

What benefited the aquifer and water bodies most this year was the early winter rainfall and less water was evapotranspirated to the atmosphere from the ground. Of course more storm water is used to irrigate landscaped medians and golf courses.

We had to go easy on the children's gifts as they had to get them home in the two suitcases they brought down but I was not worried as I had already shipped bulky or fragile presents to Thunder Bay for the real day. Still both Carolyn and Gina caught up with the family here.
