... and Emily had given me when I was in Thunder Bay last year. I love it when I do not have to cook!

Now I must get on with some laundry and house cleaning before Lindy and Carlo arrive tomorrow for a short visit. Richard is going to try golfing 18 holes this afternoon at Havana even though the wind is very blustery - the left-overs from the passage of Iola here. I think I will attend a photography show and maybe pick up a few tips!

... Sumter Landing during their last visit. One of the interesting new shops at Spanish Springs, Vom Fass, was not even officially opened (that happened Friday) but we were able to check it out. Vom Fass literally means "from the cask" in German and they are purveyors of hand-selected oils, vinegars, wines and spirits. It took everything I had to drag Richard away without buying anything. We enjoyed a bar-b-q dinner at home catching up on what everyone had done over ...

... It has a wonderful whistle and was staffed by elves and eventually, at the North Pole, by Santa himself. There was hot cocoa and cookies and Christmas bells from Santa. By the time we returned to the station it was dark enough that Christmas lights were on and it was quite pretty.

Vitas had used the guide that the "Daily Sun" publishes of Villages light displays and said they had never seen anything like it.

... it is not a holiday in Canada so Richard found himself buried in work again. Nonetheless he managed to get three pictures mounted on the walls, two of which were formerly from Merrow, so soon maybe it will start to feel more like home, even if it is a seasonal one.

We decided to opt out of cooking and purchased a pre-cooked turkey breast along with several casseroles at Publix earlier in the week. They were all delicious.

... we only had 2 bouts of rain that effected us. Once when the guys were cooking on the grill it rained and on our way home we drove through a typical Florida downpour. Great weather, It's a God Thing!
