This morning we woke up later than we planned and finished up packing odds and ends. We said our farewells to Bella and seriously considered puppy-napping her and stealing her off to Canada. With heavy hearts we got into the car around 11 and started our journey up north with multiple considerations of turning around and getting her. The packing is finished, we've done a final weather check, located the passports, and we're as ready as we're going to be! We're looking forward to a hot day in the city tomorrow as we check out the new 9/11 Museum, grab some Tasty-D and maybe make our way to Megan's favorite bakery in Chinatown. ... for the serious Amish such as wood stoves, lanterns, hand water pumps, washboards, washing wringers, cast iron cookware - among other more modern things. A store that felt a bit like a museum!! A full day and such a delightful experience to be there. Life felt 'slower' - mmmm- that's appealing!! But I'm not keen on doing without modern technology etc!!
