So we successfully made it to Chattanooga. Christian booked all of the hotels that we are staying at and chose a historic hotel downtown that is very old. We got into our room and it was hot and smelled musty. I got very crabby worrying about it bothering Ty's Asthma and my sinuses. Long story short we got our room switched and it's much better. So, spending a lot of time this summer planning my amazing trip to London! I booked the workshop with Keith Johnstone. This was it, Susan, Kirsten, and I were anxiously awaiting the email that would tell us if our Fund For Teachers Grant proposal had been accepted. Finally, the communication arrived, we had been awarded a grant to spend time traveling and studying in Vietnam. This was going to be the adventure of a lifetime!

As a history person, the idea of traveling to Vietnam and actually getting to visit places connected to the Cold War/Vietnam War era was just amazing. ...

The first part of the day was riddled with hiccups like getting lost and helping someone figure out how to change a flat, and riding with a few people here and there. I decided to spend the last half of this relatively short day (47 miles) riding by myself into Sewanee. I was so happy I did. The pace was mine to control, and I bounced all over the place from slow to powerful, and I belted earworms the whole time.

    What made ...
