Our log cabin is very comfortable and very, very quiet with only the cows mooing to disturb us in the morning. Pete makes coffee but we have to take it in turns as there is only one mug! Yet again we are confronted by another shower system that proves to be a real mystery of operation!! They do have wifi here but the password doesn't seem to work so I'll give it another go later - but for the moment we are off air. A lovely ...

Last guests left about 6pm and, thanks to Sue's boys and their girls who had practically washed up everything before they left, it didn't take long to finish off and put furniture back to normal.

    Weather: Lovely, warm, sunny.
The plan for today was some preparation for Sue's birthday party here on Sunday afternoon. Sue's son Stuart came and helped put up 2 borrowed gazebos in the garden and set up tables in the conservatory. He was here for morning tea and a relaxing lunch. After Stuart left we two girls, with dog Dove went for a short drive to Boddington Reservoir to walk around it, which took about an hour. This reservoir is ...

... Dove', Sue's retired greyhound was happy when "walkies" was finally announced. The walk was through 'Daisy Bank Pocket Park' of 1 1/2 acres, which is leased by the Parish council of Aston-le-Walls from the County of Northamptonshire for 1 per year. The committee of volunteers maintain the property, cleaning up in winter and mowing paths in summer. Easy to see it could be overgrown ...
