Home Sweet Home

A travel blog entry by psandefur on Jul 24, 2014

Although we had planned on 6 months we made it 113 days and Terry drove the motorhome 7,478 miles and 6,480 in the Jeep totaling 13,958.

We saw everything we wanted to see and were lucky to have good weather every where we went until we hit the south and got the rain and humidity.

Our next journey will continue next year....Stay tuned.

It was a thrill to pass through ...

It was so uneventful, in fact, that I fell asleep several times in the car on the Florida interstate as we made our way from Pensacola to Jacksonville. I love hanging out with Tori, but man is that drive boring.

I did end up taking a few pictures of ...

... the team had played over 1000 games around the country and become the Harlem Globetrotters.

In 1941, the Globetrotters signed Reece "Goose" Tatum, an all-time great who developed amazing comedy moves and changed the direction of the team.

Twenty years after their inception, the Globetrotters had played 3,000 games and were featured on the cover of Life magazine. Those were remarkable achievements at a time when America was ...
