First Night At The Family House
... a lot of people outside hanging out. I felt a bit uncomfortable because when we pulled up, there were about 8 people starring at us. I couldn't tell if it was a welcoming stare or a "What the hell are you doing here?" kind of stare. My normal response is to keep my head down and turn into an introvert. ... informed me the local agency has 24 hours to confirm a car rental made online. Bottom line: they have no cars available for tomorrow. Damn. I went ahead and made a reservation for Monday through the day we leave Panama on Thursday, so at least we have a car for those days.

... den Kopf und sagte mir, das naechste Mal sei dann schon eine AUSGEDRUCKTE Bestaetigung erforderlich. Ich dankte ihm daraufhin auf Spanisch hoeflichst fuer die Ausnahme und sagte ihm auf Berndeutsch das Noetige. Bevor ich jedoch zur Hoechstform auflaufen konnte, wurde ich von Flo gestoppt. Dieser hatte ploetzlich das ganz starke Gefuehl, der Grenzbeamte verstehe Deutsch :-)

Aerosmith, Schleusen und Paraden
... Hei, kommt ihr heute Abend auch ans Aerosmith-Konzert?" Klar waren wir sofort dabei - die könnten ja morgen alle tot sein.
Mit ihm, Neile aus London und Patricio aus Chile schnappten wir uns ein Taxi, und fuhren zum Baseball-Stadion (das irgendwie nur halb fertig ist...). Auf der Autobahn sahen wir allerlei interessantes, unter anderem ein "Nicht Parken"-Schild?!
Bei dem Stau könnte man aber schon mal auf die Idee kommen... Da der Stau irgendeinmal ...
