... Royale service, and I couldn’t resist Champagne with black currant liqueur. I’ve never had one before. My choices were Lobster and Scallop Sausage with Root Vegetables and Citrus Sauce as an appetizer, Venison Saddle with Vegetables and Foie Gras Bread Pudding as a main, and Panna Cotta with Grapefruit Sections in Pink Grapefruit Soup for dessert.

It was kind of fru-fru food but very tasty. And even at the reasonable sounding rate of $25 for lunch, ...

As we approached Exit 18, I got butterflies in my stomach and my pulse began to race. VT-9 is a great road for motorcycles, at least it is this morning. We find spectacular views, nice curves, dry pavement. The absence of rain is a huge bonus.

In Bennington, the Blue Benn is the place to go for lunch. Once there, we ...

I have in recent years visited the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis and the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, so thought while I was in the Hudson Valley I'd check out the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. I visited West Point once when I was a teen with my father and brother on a sort of personal tour with Jim Oest, an older man from their church who was a WWII veteran and could use the PX at the base. That was long ago and is somewhat vague in my memory, but I recall a ...
