          ... National Park. It was my intention to cycle to the road summit then walk to the top of the mountain at 10,457 ft. At the start of the road to the summit we were at an altitude of about 3000 ft. Then then climbing began. After a break at Old Station, the climbing continued until reaching Eskimo Hill. Shortly after, I passed the entrance into the National Park and made a bush camp nearby.

          ... Kings Beach as they are re-laying the main car park. To keep the parking availability high they are allowing road side parking by removing one of the traffic lanes, causing delays. To add to the confusion they have also added………a roundabout (or traffic island). This is the first in the area and one of the few in California.
