    ... mostly motorway with glimpses of historic villages in the distance and the occasional snow-capped mountain as a backdrop. We passed through the outskirts of Napoli – with all its poverty, litter and desperation. We were pleased to be passing through! We then drove along the Sorrentine peninsula with views across the Bay of Naples, which were quite spectacular.

They use lemons to make so many lovely products (soaps, biscotti, desserts, jam, juice and liquors - lemoncello and creama de lemon) When we were walking through the lanes, the whole air is filled with the sweet citrus-y aroma.
