... way in Florence with the number of tourists. One of the cool things though was stopping by the renowned gelateria Vivoli and we popped in to get gelato. Awesome as I didn't have to walk back again later. Had the strawberry and it was simply amazing. So Good!!!

Headed to the Boboli Gardens after, it was kinda neat with the sculptures but the paths aren't very well marked. That and a not so great map made it a little hard to find things. ...

... from the spattering of Trattoria throughout the city were much more pleasant than the smell of donkeys! While it was fun to get lost, we were frustrated a number of times because you can never tell if the shadow at the end of the alley is a turn to a major thoroughfare or a dead end. We found ourselves dead-ended by a canal with nowhere to go without getting wet on a number of occasions! We also visited the Duomo, Duke’s Palace, fresh fish ...

... with YUMMMMMMMY croissants! The bathrooms do NOT have throw away towels but a revolving paper towel like material (makes you wonder if they just dry it out and reuse it.....) Our flight has been delayed about an hour & 15 minutes due to a late arrival of our plane. Should be in Pisa around 1:15pm !!

... rooms (by European standards). Service was outstanding.

Our favorite day of this trip was the excursion to Cinque Terre! We would recommend everyone try aand take this excursion while visiting Florence. The scenery is sooo beautiful that we have made our photos into canvas prints that now hang on the walls in our home!

Also, other good side trips:Siena and San Gimignano! Both beautiful and unique!

... singing.. the first lady who walks by starts asking them questions in Italian (they made Jim and I stand a little distance from them)... and we don't know what she's asking but it sounds like she might be asking whether they are singing for money because they need shelter or food or something so the kids decide maybe singing on the streets of Pisa for money isn't such a great idea...

Our bus #4 comes by and we hop on for a ride to our Pisa ...
