Our room is in the servants quarters of the time and breakfast is either served in their converted barn or on the patio which overlooks a panoramic view of the vineyards and olive groves surrounding the property. ... valleys ...rocky mountains similar to the Swartberg......Villages are high up ... Gypsy villages low down....Messy like squatter camps... The marble quarries are amazing...the countryside is flattening out, we pass groves of olive trees and vineyards as well as prickly pears galore on the roadside ... Tom is salivating! Finally we see the sea. Rod and John are at home again....another place to explore! ...
... lucky to get a 2 bedroom apartment for a cheap price which was up the road a kilometre but we were able to come back and use the facilities as well as breakfast in the morning.
We found a fabulous cheap and cheerful restaurant and had a beaut pizza and fish meal, with Veges. Like all kiwis it's the fresh vegetables you miss the most from your diet when travelling.

... for our last day, so it was a sit in the sun and eat pizza and drink beer kind of day. We walked through all the places we have come to love, felt like locals when the lady from the perfume shop stopped us in the street to say hello, how are you? ... talking I wanted to grab the computer and beg the girl not to do it to herself. I didn't though. Obviously. The skype sesh was quite entertaining in a way though, because it meant I got to hear Livia attempt to speak German (the girl was German, Livia didn't just decide it would be fun to speak a random language- very badly- to her).
