    Today started with breakfast at the hotel then off to the other side of the harbour to take some photos of the Queen Mary. Quite impressive really.

    in disbelief the day to return had arrived, 9 and a half months of the most incredible experience had come to an end. A bag of mixed emotions excited to see everyone yet divestated this incredible experience had come to an end. We boarded the car and took our last drive to the airport. Waiting 'in line' from 12.30 for our 4.45pm flight and no McDonalds for our delicious chocolate milkshake to end our adventure. Homeward bound!! ...

    So we arrived in LA at 20:00 which is 7-hours behind the UK.
    Entry in to the country was not the easiest - we were stopped at customs as we were "not on the manifest"... This was quite scary, we were asked if we had criminal records, or had ever been arrested, 2nd proof of ID, our boarding passes again and pretty much interrogated! Turns out Air New Zealand told America that we had not boarded the plane ...
