Left the caravan on Tuesday morning for the drive to Whitby. Weather pretty ordinary but an easy trip on good roads. The cottage we are in is just lovely, pictures will follow. Went into Whitby for a short drive then a night in front of the telly.

... many stately homes around here. Next day we caught the train(it was meant to be the steam train but it was out of action) to Whitby where of course Captain Cook came from. It is a very lovely seaside town,but unfortunately the weather 'turned' and it was et and cold so we caught the bus home. ... to put him on the table, due to the extensive undermining of the sole. During and after the surgery I had some time to talk with the owner of the practice, Graham, which also felt good. After this it was sadly already almost time to leave, as I still had to pack my stuff and drive to Nantwich, where I had my second job interview.

I left the place with a great feeling and a promise to be called after the weekend with their decision(today was Tuesday).

... being a Tuesday and the bank holiday finished we would be ok, but that was not to be.Also not a parking spot to be found, all full so we ditched the lunch break in Whitby and looked at the Whitby Abbey instead. Awesome sight, it is eerie, grand, magnificent, beautiful and whatever other expression you can think of. It is in ruin but still paints a grand picture.
