... om ons heen en de ober was ook ooit in nederland geweest, wat toch een band geeft. De dag erop wat langzaam begonnen, op ons gemak ontbeten, wat boodschapjes gedaan en dan moet je kiezen: de haven is altijd leuk en toen pakten we maar de boot naar Rangitoto Island : een klein eiland, bestaande uit een uitgebluste vulkaan, die 600 jr geleden voor het laatste gewerkt heeft: het leek ons wijs het fenomeen vulkaan eerst eens in de uitgebluste veilige vorm te verkennen ...
Touchdown
... Nach einem 30 h (oder so) Tripp ist man ein wenig geschlaucht.
Vorteil, wenn man im Flieger nicht schlafen kann, vorher schon den ganzen Tag auf war, und anschliessend den ganzen Tag aufbleibt: Man merkt irgendwann nicht mehr viel davon, wie muede man ist.
Massiver Vorteil von so wenig Schlaf: NO JETLAG :)

Whilst walking the streets I stumbled upon Wellington’s version of the Occupy campaign. About 20 to 25 tents have been setup for the last 3 months just off the Civic Square in the middle of the city. After chatting to some of the occupiers and reading their grievances that they have posted on a wall nearby, I gathered that their issues were similar to those in the States and across the world.

Our final stop, before heading back to Auckland to sell the van and head off to Asia, was Taupo again. The reason: SKYDIVE. We finally found the time, courage and weather to jump out of a plane 15000ft above Lake Taupo (tandem I assure you).
It was the perfect adrenaline fueled ending to our fab 6 weeks here. Now to sell the van a fly north, for INDIA.
