... mph at most in 2nd gear most of the time. I’m proud of the bike, I now understand how Andy Landers the previous owner coped with those Mongolian roads. At one point to avoid both bike and sidecar wheels falling into potholes simultaneously I tried to fly the chair wheel off the ground and steer the bike between holes. This was almost working but a bit dangerous to do often on a hairpin curve !

... to your shoes, is extremely heavy and difficult to remove. Hence, it is always an adventure to get in and out. Thankfully the casbah is visible from many places; I use Jebel Kissane for orientation to get in and my home casbah to get out.

Getting out at a different end made me discover the back of yet another casbah very close to our two.

... Action Man because he has worked as an "extra" on some 200 movies that have been shot in the town. He claims to have met movie stars such as Russell Crowe and Mel Gibson. In the evening Action Man and his sister gave us a cooking demonstration on how to make cous cous and Tagine. Cous Cous is a very long labour intensive process. .....nach zwei Tagen Sand- und Staubsturm sind wir nun scheinbar im Herbst angekommen. Sonne, aber kühler Wind und - man staune - Wolken!!

Die Kasbah ist gästeleer; ich hab meinen Riadh wieder für mich alleine!

Und da ich hier so schreibfaul bin, werd ich euch mein Leben hier nun wohl mehr per Bild nahebringen!

... two guides having gone ahead) in the most beautiful of places with dunes all around for miles, as the sun set we climbed the local biggest dune and sat in awe !

Again another amazing meal appeared which we ate by candle light and after an impromptu sing-along by our guides using water carriers as drums we lade down and just admired the stars including the brightest milky way I have seen for years. 9pm saw us in bed ...
