... choppy so it was best to be seated on this trip! We pulled into port at 7 p.m., waited for the RV to be delivered to the Badger parking lot on a beautiful, sunny evening. This is the last leg of our trip, spending the night at Cartier Park in Ludington. Tomorrow we head back to Pleasant Lake.... Many memories and feeling so ...

It's been a few days since I last checked in - Jim and I arrived in Grand Rapids last Saturday eve right before a huge lightning, thunder & torrential rainstorm struck! That storm was probably the most dramatic storm I've ever witnessed - well...actually, maybe a close 2nd to that tornadic storm that Mom, sisters and I witnessed in Kansas in 2001. Left at 0700 and rode 500 feet for breakfast because the sky looked like it was going to open up.
Did the Tunnel of Trees, then stopped for custard at Bop-In in Bay View, Michigan.

Stopped for lunch in at a bowling alley/restaurant called Tucker's in a cute little town called Northport, Michigan.

We rode by the lake almost all day today. Just really gorgeous scenery.

... the beach and put their feet in the 52 degree Lake Michigan. This was their second lake of their Great Lakes experience.

In the afternoon, we rented two more kayaks and we all cruised 6 miles down the Pere Marquette River. Dinner at the RV, we later had a campfire and S’mores. It stays light here till 10:00 PM!
A perfect day? You bet!

Time to move on in the morning ...
