Tarmac treading
Ted didn't sleep a wink last night due to the very storms, it rained, hailed, sleeted and the wind blew wild, it was so cold that he put on all of his jumpers with the BLUE on on top because it was pouring with rain. Still no such thing as bad weather just the wrong clothing, so he donned his wet weather gear and off he strolled.
Start temperature 3.5c, finish 7.5c, not sure if it's a Brrrrday or a Grrrrrday, still he survived....

The next stage caused confusion and at this point reaching for the map it was apparent that I had left it during one of our weather clothing changes.
We had to retrace our steps!!!( YOU DON'T APPRCIATE IT UNTIL YOU'VE LOST IT).
The final two miles of backwater lanes resembled an F1 race circuit, rather than a quiet amble.

The Ups and Downs of Cornish Hills
I wiped out today. I have to take full credit. I veered left into a huge hedge, the type that lines most of the country roads here in Cornwall. Not sure if it was the huge wind turbines or the map on my handlebar bag that distracted me, but before I knew it I had a face full of hedge! Luckily i had my bandana on so my face wasn't cut up by all the thorns. My leg got it pretty good though ...and Goldie didn't fair so good either. A Day in the Life...

- 1.5 hours later, I ride my fully loaded bike down a single track short cut to the river pathway and then on to the train station.
- Get to the train station so on time that I jump on the wrong train!!
- Train staff were very helpful getting my bike on the train though neglected to check the ticket!
- Luckily train was headed in the right direction so I got off at the next station ...with my four panniers, 2 ...
