... me, Sas couldn't get into Brussels and so had to work from home. After a nice chat and leisurely snooze (me, not Sas) we went for a boozy lunch at Moscu before I headed into town to, technically, do some shopping. 3 hours of wandering around aimlessly later and with a slight detour around the Arab Quarter when I got lost, I returned home completely empty-handed and feeling very despondent ...

... on their bikes, watching the constant foot traffic of quite a diverse ethnic cross section of people going about their lives - kids going to school, moms going to the stores, dads going to their jobs, families going to their places of worship, teens going shoppping, on and on and on........... And then there's the more personal side of daily activities: walking pretty much every morning down the street to pick up bread ...

... and a backpack stopped over almost waiting for me on the side of the road. Well, in true CS form, Alexis and Veerle spotted us wandering aimlessly with our packs toward their place and they graciously picked us up!

Their hospitality did not end there—they hosted an impromptu BBQ at their place to christen their new patio/ terrace and what a smashing space it was! Their entire flat was just full of personality--wall colors in ...
