Stayed at a girl called Berit's house. In her 30's and lived above a shop in the center of Antwerpen, up a really narrow stairway to the living room and then another to my room. Was tricky with my heavy luggage.
Went out and the first place I ended to by chance was the red light district with hundred of almost naked girls in all the windows, the only people in the street were the dirty ...
... we entered the viewing point we can see the chimpanzees and gorillas through a glass window. When I am looking at them, the feeling are kind of sad and I not sure why. To me, they really look very alike a human and their face are showing that they are quite down. When the gorilla look through the glass window and stared straight into my eye it feels abit scary though but the feeling is very unique. The nocturnal animals section is also worth to take a look, it shows ...
... around it was time for a burger and the next drink. We ended up at De Hallen, cool bar, but we stayed a bit too long I think. When we came out, the carnival was already closed :)
So back off home. I promised Johan to drop him off in Turnhout, cus he missed his bus. By the time we left Geel it was already 2.30, by the time we arrived in Antwerp it was 4AM... zzzz straight to bed! We have heaps to do in the weekend!
... and boy, does it eat time!) I'm fulltime thinking about the visum (only one step to go!), trying new recipes, playing with my cat, going to the gym, meeting friends and family. What a lovely life!
And every morning starts with an hour of skyping with my girl, what a lovely way to kick off the day!
I hoped to play more videogames (last chance!) but I find that spending lots of time with my friends and family is so rewarding and important that I haven't even touched the playstation for a week hehe.

And our timing was such that it just happened to be a combination of a Winefest and a Bikefest weekend in these parts, so the active folks - the conditioned bicyclers - could be seen in nearly continuous fashion peddling their way along the bike-friendly riverside paths, while the more passive folks - the “revelers of the grape” - could be seen everywhere with a bottle or wineglass in hand.
