... and went to some markets. Most things are closed on Sundays like all cities in Europe. Around 3 I headed to the Antwerp Zoo. It is literally connected to the train station and is in the middle of the city. THe zoo was GREAT! I have been to the London and Paris zoo but this was so much better. ... around it was time for a burger and the next drink. We ended up at De Hallen, cool bar, but we stayed a bit too long I think. When we came out, the carnival was already closed :)
So back off home. I promised Johan to drop him off in Turnhout, cus he missed his bus. By the time we left Geel it was already 2.30, by the time we arrived in Antwerp it was 4AM... zzzz straight to bed! We have heaps to do in the weekend!
... came to a full stop, after pulling the hand brake a couple of months ago when I decided I wanted to go travelling. I'm glad I did, because this gives me some time to think about whether I like the direction this road was taking me. We'll see where we end up! :) There will probably be a bar with beer though, so it will be good there! ;-)
