... to see Iowa but now that I have, I can't believe I've overlooked it. Not because it's a life altering place or experience but that it's another piece to the puzzle of life. Iowa is no Serengeti or Patagonia, but it is worthy of respect. We only have so much time in our lives which is why we are herded to those places of maximum impact. Talk about tough to find. He is buried in Woodward Hill Cemetery. Only problem was, my Garmin nor my iPhone could find the cemetery. I took to the old fashioned route, I stopped and asked. First place was a convenience store. Two you ...

A travel blog entry by pmtripp on Oct 05, 2012

Got an early start and made it back to Normal in time to have lunch at Avanti's. Better than we remembered...gondolas and sausage sandwich. AC & Ham Whit just look sad. Empty, gray, dark and lonely. *sigh* The new res center where Walker was is fantastic! Kudos to the student staff - very welcoming and helpful with a quick tour. Great to see all the decorations for Homecoming, not just on campus, but businesses with the windows painted, info, etc. Nice ...
