... delightful village, similar in lots of ways to South Australia's Hahndorf, or Washington State's Leavenworth.
As we turned into the main street, I asked if it was possible to go on a horse drawn carriage ride. So to my delight we only had a 10 minute wait till one was available.

Our driver owned Ebony the lovely big horse, and as we ambled through the village, she told us lots of different tales plus pointed ...

I can see why the turned to music to try and get out... Having said that downtown Niagara isn't a looker with several dilapitated buildings. However thinks quickly picked up as I trekked the 2km from the bus station to where the action is. The first thing on the horizon is ...

      ... died in poverty.
In July 1911, the infamous Bobby Leach plunged over the Falls in a steel barrel. Bobby broke both kneecaps and his jaw during his daring event. Years later while touring in New Zealand, Bobby slipped on an orange peel and died from complications due to gangrene. What a crackup!!
We believe that the Canadian side of the Falls is far superior to the USA side. So glad we got to do this visit, just ...
