... am attendant. I saw a car drive up and the gates went up and he drove in. It seemed odd to have gates into a park but take no money. At the point of the park there is a big building and there were lots of cars parked - an office building in this beautiful place. Close by I saw a military training zone all fenced off. There seems to be a lot going on in this 'park'. I rounded the point and continued my run while staying to the roadway which was lined with huge ...

The restaurant didn’t provide any dessert, but Darija was treated us to Gelato. Unfortunately, the place she was going to use was closed but we found another one nearby. I wasn’t planning to have Gelato as I thought it might hurt my sensitive teeth but I decided to give it a try and was careful with it. After that it was back to the hotel for a much needed rest.

Lunch is fantastic, veal and chicken cooked under coals in a steel pot, not unlike our camp ovens.
Very flavoursome, if somewhat fatty. Once again proving fat is flavour. Shame about the wines.

... rounds of the town over a few hours and had worn ourselves out we walked out to the jetty in town to book our ferry for tomorrow afternoon to the island of Hvar that sits about 45 minutes by boat from Split. The ferry left in the afternoon but we wanted to make sure we were booked in before the day to make sure we could make the transfer. In this time of year transfers are once per day so we couldn’t afford to miss it. As we walked to ...
