... This historic town started as a port and has had about 2,300 years of continuous occupation. Apparently it is the best preserved Romanesque-gothic complex in Central Europe, which was impressive to see when wandering around. But I really think that Trogir's party-piece is it's location, which was impossible for me to capture from ground level, so I've included an aerial photo. Nice piece of real estate, I say!

After a brief layover in Zagreb, we headed straight to the Dalmatian coast starting in Split. Split is highlighted by the remarkable Diocletian's Palace from the third century. Facing the enormous harbor, the palace is fortified with enormous walls and full of churches, temples, piazzas and now the central point for shopping, eating, and drinking in Split. I bought the bus ticket, got my luggage, and went to eat soup and hot chocolate at a restaurant. Currently, I am sitting in an Internet cafe. I hate being cold. So I am mentally preparing myself for the cold of Europe. Thankfully, the forecast says sun. That beats rain. I would like it to snow in Prague, on Thursday. Then I only have to worry about transport to the airport!
