... concert the cafe's and the trees lining the streets were still the same,it was very interesting to walk thru the plain and see the old church ,and gov house,and all the old buildings in the surroundings of the plain.We sat an had Apple pie with cream and Rien had a beer ,we sat and watched the people walk by,it then started to rain and everyone ran into the shop to buy umbrellas ,even we had to buy one,then the sun came out ,just a little shower!!,,,.,we walked thru ...

It's finally here - the day we eave it all behind and go for a journey taking us around South America for 3 months.
We are very excited and hope our first encounter with Brazil will go smooth.

... away from home for eight months I would feel ready to go back home, but nothing could be less true. Don't get me wrong, of course I'm really looking forward to going home to see all my friends and family! I have missed them a lot while I've been away, and I know I'm really going to enjoy getting to spend time with them over the summer again. I guess the theme to all these posts is beer, but come on. We are in the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium after all. As you can tell we drank some great Belgian beer and had some great chocolate. Tongeren was also interesting because it is one of the oldest towns in Belgium, so it had a lot of cool old buildings and crumbling cobblestone ...
