          This morning saw us up early to pack up our belongings, have breakfast, and begin our trip eastward. Paul,our guide yesterday, had given us great instructions on how to get out of Cape Town. We got onto the N2 highway and went to Somerset West and off at Strand, driving to Gordon's Bay where we drove along the coast to Hermanus where we stopped for lunch.           ... for a drink or 2 or 3 and started chatting to a chap in the pub and he suggested we go across the road to Warmwatersberg Nature Reserve. Where hot water pumps out of the ground at about 45degrees. Lekker karoo choppies for dinner with veggie soup.......

          ... to relax before dinner at the hotel.

          Dinner was a Cape Malay lamb curry that has been on my radar to try. It did not disappoint and I think that I will try and make it when we get home. More good food for breakfast as we watched several staff wash and dry all the guests cars in the parking lot at least twice. It seemed a bit unusual but we were glad to have a nice clean car again.

          When we arrived at Warmwaterberg, we spent the night in a 60’s style caravan - you have to see the photos! It was like travelling back in time, with the floral curtains and dated fittings! The seals in the windows were not quite as they used to be, however we put it down to natural ventilation. :)
