of the gardens and passionately pointed out particular treasures in the plant

On the way
back to the car park, I stopped at a small shop, ‘The Lime Orchid’, a gift shop
and nursery. The proprietor suggested that gardens could still be explored
despite the rain and highly recommended ‘Glenwhan Gardens’ at Dunragit. It
turned out to be a spectacular garden on 12 acres. Winding paths lead you
passed a collection of plants from around the world. The rhododendrons were magnificent.

I continued onto Portpatrick, a seaside village on the

Stayed four days while healing from strained and bruised muscles. Was made to feel at home. Great breakfasts, quiet nights, across the street from the Ryan Leisure Center swimming pool.
