Stayed four days while healing from strained and bruised muscles. Was made to feel at home. Great breakfasts, quiet nights, across the street from the Ryan Leisure Center swimming pool.

This is located at the very most southern part of Scotland. We arrived about 10 am and the weather was threatening. Started touring their walled garden, a least 2 acres. It was very tropical and saw many palms, yuccas and plants from the southern hemisphere. At times you felt like you were Florida, then our old UCSD Campus ...

Well last night we saw, or more accurately heard the flip side of living on the edge of a cliff overlooking the sea. The wind was live nothing I have ever heard before and it went all night! I don't know exactly how much sleep I got, but it wasn’t much and I think this was the same for Lil and Lyndon (it’s amazing how Spencer can sleep through anything except the pictures in his head) so we had a very lazy morning lying around the ...

... hanging over the edge still, another coin in and one falls out. Oh, I see what’s going on ….. WE ARE NEVER GOING TO WIN! A bit of fun for a dollar but also a good chance for a chat with the kids about how these games work on your psyche, sucking you in that ‘just one more coin will do it’. Hopefully a lesson learned. Annnd then we went home and played cards …. not for money though so that’s ok isn’t ...

... bad for Spencer as he was wearing shorts and I don’t imagine that his legs retain a lot of warmth in them … but there was no way that we were going home and not seeing the Giant’s Causeway!!

By the time we got back to the top our clothes were almost dry, but the kids shoes and socks were still soaked ….. so that was the end of our sightseeing for the day L It was well worth it though, even putting up with the kids complaining ...

The wind has been howling all night and the rain lashing. We decide to have a lie in and a slow morning. Although it's overcast it feels warm and the outlook is good. We drive into Stranraer as we need to find a launderette. We finally find it and deposit it in a large machine then go off for a look around Stranraer. I am in need of some new socks, I have loads at home but didn't pack enough. Just like I packed far too many skirts and blouses, I simply don't need them! We ...
