Stayed four days while healing from strained and bruised muscles. Was made to feel at home. Great breakfasts, quiet nights, across the street from the Ryan Leisure Center swimming pool.

As it was only a ruin and it was pouring with rain, took a photo and had lunch before driving on along the shore of Sołway Firth. A really wet afternoon as we drove west. Stopped at a smokehouse to buy lots of food goodies before driving through Stranraer to camp at a farm. Ferry to Ireland ...

... collection of sculptures made from rocks, driftwood and tree branches, last thing you expect at a picturesque seaside village. Treated myself to some of the local and delicious Galloway ice cream. We decided to drive a little further along the coast to an old lighthouse at and then back to Barscobe to sort out our stuff and enjoy our last evening. ...

... on a beautiful afternoon while Nina and I went for a nice long walk. We were in Portpatrick because it was a cute place that we enjoyed the first time around, and just wanted to putze around a bit and generally relax. It fit the bill perfectly. Onward, we headed back towards Edinburgh a few days later, dropping Will and Nina in Glasgow on the way. If anyone is interested, they were very happy with the "Number 10" ...

We drive into Stranraer as we need to find a launderette. We finally find it and deposit it in a large machine then go off for a look around Stranraer. I am in need of some new socks, I have loads at home but didn't pack enough. Just like I packed far too many skirts and blouses, I simply don't need them! We ...
